Hi Zippy!

We didn't stay in town long enough to see the fireworks, but I bet we went by your brother's place on our way to Lauderdale-by-the Sea Saturday night. My M-I-L used to live there so we took our grandson up there to look around for awhile. I always enjoy going in the shops. Aruba's was packed. Then we went back down and parked in the lot by the Elbo room and walked around. It was SO hot and muggy! Since Josh had been in Ft. L before there really wasn't much else to do, so we headed home up A1A on Sunday. We were hoping to stay over in Deerfield Beach but everything was full. Watched the fireworks on TV back here at home in Central Florida!!! I have pictures of the Ft. L fireworks from last year, though! LOL

As for the Port, we took all kinds of pictures of the ship sitting in the rain, and then all the way out to the ocean. It was awesome, especially having been on her last year. I could picture myself at the back rail by the Terrace Pool. However, if she went West this week, she's encountering Hurricane Dennis!! I loved being on the 4th floor and watching all the activity. What is Princess smoking policy? We recently sailed on Carnival and the entire ship smelled like smoke. Smoking was permitted almost everywhere. In any part of Public rooms and either port or starboard side of the ship. We have sailed Celebrity 10 times, and although smoking is permitted, it is restricted to only one side of the ship, even in the public rooms.

As far as the smoking policy goes, Outside on deck 7 we saw people smoking . And in Fusion Club on the right side there is a smoking section , The casino was really smoky sometimes , but the worst was at the theater there were halls that went fron deck7 to deck 6 , from back to front and we used them to sit in the little balcony areas at the theater. My wife could get up ,walk up the hall to deck 7 and use the restroom , but they have a Cigar Bar that you walk right past and sometimes it would linger right down the hall into the theater.

But on a scale from 1 to 10 the smokers bothered me about a 3. Just those cigars , Man, I shoveled stuff up in the barn that smelled better than that...
