Parasailing in Nassau?

Hi there,

My family will be in Nassau in October & we're interested in parasailing. There is an excursion available through the cruise line for about $100/person. There will be five people in our group, so I thought I'd check and see if anyone has done parasailing in Nassau on their own. The reviews for the ship's excursion are pretty good. The only complaint is that you spend a lot of time waiting for your 5-7 turn.

Thanks for any advice!

Amy

We did parasailing in Nassau last year. We booked as a shore excursion, but probably would have been cheaper just to find on our own. Otherwise, we had a great time. Only 6 on the boat, us and a family of 4. We went first and were up for 5-10 min, but seems longer when you are up there. I'd recommend.

Scubagirl had previously recommended JRs Action Water Sports and Freddie's Hi Tech. You can search for them both online. Thy both operate from Cable Beach and are cheaper than through Carnival. And at least JR has a double so you can go up together. I think our family is going to do that. Good luck!
