wakar13 Posted August 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2013 First timer to Naples (actually really Europe) so will stop in to Pompeii first thing and then wanted to decide between city of Naples and hiking Vesuvius. Read the notes on weather also on other threads. We will be in Naples in November. We like to explore and enjoy but immerse a bit rather than a rat race to hit every spot. Food defines our memories so a nice lunch would make the day. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated!! Also, Limoncello appears to be ubiquitous - any recommendation on place to buy and will the ship allow storage? Thanks again, Walker
euro cruiser Posted August 10, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2013 For a first time visit I'd drop Vesuvio (I've climbed it three times) and spend my time after Pompei in Naples. You can purchase limoncello all over town.
