Can I drink Frozen Drinks on the Beach?

We're cruising to Roatan, Belize, Costa Maya and Cozumel in Feb on NCL's Dawn. We're planning on going to at least 1 of the All Inclusive resorts (Almaplena in Costa Maya) as well as a city tour and beach visit in Roatan.

 

My question is: what precautions do we need to take regarding food and drink? The last thing I want is to become sick on the cruise. My last cruise was the Eastern Caribbean and we went on food tours, went to beach resorts, etc and weren't concerned and didn't have any issues.

 

I want a frozen drink on the beach! :p

Ice machines at resorts use filtered water. Same as in Cozumel. No problems.
