soccerstar1288 Posted July 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2005 What is it like to be at St. Thomas for Christmas Day? Are the shops closed and are the shore excursions? Also What is a Western Caribbean like, Crand Caymen, Cozumel, Montego bay like? Is it better than an eastern caribbean cruise? Thanks Joe
massagegirl Posted July 7, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 7, 2005 I'm not sure, but I know one year I was in Mexico on a cruise n Xmas day and everything is open! They live for the cruise ships coming in and all the money so they are open. I would think that St Thomas would be the same.
geri Posted July 7, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 7, 2005 I was in St. Thomas on Easter and all the shops closed by 1 p.m. so that the employees could be with their families. Go to the Virgin Islands Now website and it should tell you.
athurstance Posted July 7, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 7, 2005 We were in St Thomas Christmas Day 2004. The shops and market in town opened for the morning only. We spent the day on the beach - the buses ran from/to the port all day. The shops at the dock were open until 4pm so we had a look round when we got back from the beach. Megan's Bay is a beautiful beach.
