What is it like to be at St. Thomas for Christmas Day? Are the shops closed and are the shore excursions?

Also What is a Western Caribbean like, Crand Caymen, Cozumel, Montego bay like? Is it better than an eastern caribbean cruise?

Thanks

Joe

I was in St. Thomas on Easter and all the shops closed by 1 p.m. so that the employees could be with their families. Go to the Virgin Islands Now website and it should tell you.

We were in St Thomas Christmas Day 2004. The shops and market in town opened for the morning only. We spent the day on the beach - the buses ran from/to the port all day.

The shops at the dock were open until 4pm so we had a look round when we got back from the beach.

Megan's Bay is a beautiful beach.
