When to Buy Photos

Hi,

we buy our pictures on a day base. But I did not understand why the can't realize a picture CD with all our photos. I asked on board but it's impossible to get them on a CD even if you buy the printed ones and offer to pay also for the CD. Perhaps they also have to sign up for a PhotoShop class:D .

We budget 100 for photos and take all the formals as well as some informals. We have all photos put in a folder for us to review at the end of the cruise and upon the morning of debarkation we visit the photo shop, sift through a few and bargain with the guy. We finally offer 100 for the entire pholio including the book of 4x6 pictures of the ship. There are twenty or so pictures in this book. We have never been turned down. We walked once but the guy said ok, ok at the last minute. Its a great deal.

 

I picked this tip up here on CC prior to my recent cruise on RCL Empress. On Day 2 I asked photo man to start a folder for me. He says they can't do that, but I can stick all my photos in one little corner and they will leave them alone. Minor hiccup in the plan but I can rebound.

 

So on the evening before disembarkation, I gather up all my photos and go to photo man to work my negotiational magic and offer him a hundred bucks for the whole shootin match. He doesn't even blink, looking like he's had this pulled on him 6 times today, and tells me they don't negotiate and that the price is what is marked on the board.

 

Hhhhmmmm, thinks I. Surely I have him negotiationally weakened by now. Ok, so if I want to buy this 5X7 for $14.95, how much would it cost me to get a second copy???? By now, all you clever CCers know the answer - $14.95.
