Shore Excursions

We will be booking our shore excursions through the cruise line for two ports of call on our upcoming Jewel of the Seas cruise in March. We usually book through private companies recommended through CC but there are a couple of islands where the cruise line excursions make more sense. How far out do folks book who are using the cruise line?

If we book through the cruise line we book as soon as they are available. This way you are guaranteed a spot on the excursion. It is cancelable up to 24 hours in advance.

Sometimes we book a few weeks before the crude, sometimes we wait until we are on the ship. In fourteen cruises we've never been told that the excursion that we wanted was sold out.
