Question on sights to see in Anchorage?

Is anyone else doing Cruise Tour 11 days Ending in Anchorage?

Wanted to find out if we should leave on early morning flight back to Florida, getting home late night after 2 x changing planes.

 

Or see sights in Anchorage and take evening flight red eye over night with 1 stop, getting home in morning.

How important is sight seeing in Anchorage?

We are cruising for a week on Radiance of the Seas, with 2 days pre-cruise in Vancouver and post-tours in Seward,Talkeetna, Girdwood (Alyeska) and Denali. Full schedule for first timers in Alaska! (Lose 4 hours traveling East coast)

Vancouver May 14-16, ROSS 16-23, post cruise tour 23-27th 2014.

 

Is there a must see in Anchorage?

We had a couple days there pre cruise , so could look around a bit. But there is a Anchorage trolly that you can get at the visitors center , that takes you for a nice look around the area , would recommed that , it takes about an hour or so.
