Has anyone been on the Diamond Princess leaving Auckland

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am going on a cruise from Auckland on the Diamond princess, my travel docs say boarding from 2-5pm sailing at 6pm, will they give me a time closer to the date that I should arrive it can I arrive any time between 2-5? Or is it better to get there earlier and drop off luggage etc so we can board at 2.

Thanks :)

I am interested in this question too. We sail 16 January and its my first time with priority embarkation. Not sure if that means I have to be there early to take advantage of it or if it means I get to shortcut the queue no matter what time I arrive.

Most times boarding opens at 11-ish (depends if noro was on the last cruise and the sanitising/cleaning involved) The idea of the 2-5 pm window slot is stagger the embarkation. Never having boarded in Auckland, I think you could drop your bags off earlier than 11 am and come back.

Enjoy your cruise.
