Will be staying in San Pedro in Sept. Has anyone used Priceline lately for that time of year?

I included San Pedro in my Priceline search for a 4* hotel in the Long Beach area. I got up to $90 with no takers ...

 

I've read on these boards that it is better to stay in Long Beach than San Pedro ... don't know if that is true or not as I've never been to either of those areas.

 

BTW ... I'm also looking at September.
