TwitterCruise1 Posted November 18, 2013 Author #26 Share Posted November 18, 2013 Yeah, that was the deal, she had already cruised with me before. I was (am) a diamond, she's gold. The agent, Vivian (again, BEST representative from Royal I have EVER spoken to) noticed our address was the same and asked if we were married or domestic partners. We will get married eventually (gotta love a job where you work contract to contract, so where we live and saving for a move trumps marriage at this point at least) but she felt that was enough to make her honorary Diamond. Works for me!
yolanda1 Posted November 18, 2013 #27 Share Posted November 18, 2013 As with several other "rules", RCI appear to be inconsistent on this. If budget allows it, it's sometimes best just to book a Suite and then there is no doubt that the Concierge Lounge can be utilised.
cruisegirl1 Posted November 18, 2013 #28 Share Posted November 18, 2013 Seems the problem is solved - GREAT M
SConnolly Posted November 18, 2013 #29 Share Posted November 18, 2013 In all seriousness, if we didn't live together, or we're just friends and no means no on her coming in, I understand. But grateful Royal Caribbean offered to make her diamond status bc she lives with me. Another reason I'm loyal to royal Domestic Partner Benefits are there for a variety of reasons, and RCCL appreciates not one shoe fits all. I was going to reccommend you call C&A desk but thankfully you got it sorted. Also log in and check both your account periodically as sometimes they get wiped out with system upgrades. Enjoy! CruisinYaya Posted November 18, 2013 #30 Share Posted November 18, 2013 (edited) If you live together, you can have her linked to your account so that she has D status and access. Then she can also come and go as she pleases. Edited November 18, 2013 by CruisinYaya subscription
JohnSnowGOT Posted November 18, 2013 #31 Share Posted November 18, 2013 Enjoy the benefits of the lounge; you are well within the rules of the program. You and your significant other now have a great amenity to look forward to. Agreed!
