Does Celebrity have any golf on board? how are shows? how is food? where on ship would quiet area be and will they have comfortable lounge chairs in that area? Pls tell me about ship if you just experienced?

Nice quiet area on the ships is the Solarium which is an adult area only. Might help to know which ship you are looking at. On the M class ships the Solarium has a warmer pool and the chairs are not comfortable at all. On the S class ships, the pool is a regular pool and their chairs are very comfortable with nice cushions.

They do not have any regular golf on board. Some ships have a driving range or miniature golf but Celebrity no longer has anything like that on board.

One minor exception:On the S class ships, including the Eclipse, they have a lawn area with live grass. Occasionally they set up a couple putting holes in one small area of the lawn.

For nice comfortable chairs: As dkjretired indicated, there are nice chairs in the Solarium on the Eclipse as well as a few around the pool. There are also some nicer lounge chairs and a nice quiet area at the "Solstice Deck" which is on deck 16 forward - three decks above the Solarium and spa area. The spa also has a couple quiet area with both cushioned (the Relaxation lounge) and heated tile lounge chairs (the Persian Gardens) but there may be a charge for these depending on your cabin class and if you use other spa services - so ask about these at the SPA information desk for more information. Indoors a lot of passengers use the various lounges around the ship during the day as quiet paces to sit and read. As you explore the indoor and outdoor areas on the ship I'm sure you'll find many places to your liking.

they have what is called a lawn club, the closest to golf will be PUTTING, do you thin kit is advisable to have "golf" aboard? Remember there is smoking, a bar, the hot glass, and it allowed for kids to visit, not stay... if you have...

I meant a "driving range" of course where men could practice. Or perhaps a golf "pro" to give instruction. We don't smoke or drink so bars are not our thing. We look for more activities to do to keep us busy.

The Eclipse is an S class ship as are the Solstice, Equinox, Silhouette and Reflection. The M class are the Millennium, Summit, Infinity and Constellation.

The M Class have plenty of comfortable chairs but the S class do have some nicer ones.

The M class ships were all built between 2000 and 2002. The S class ships were all built between 2008 and 2012 so they are a bit newer and larger. One isn't necessarily better than the other and both have some pluses and minuses compared to the other. We sail based on the itinerary we want and not really based on picking M, or S, class over the other. Some people prefer the newer ships as they due to the newness and modern design, some like the layout and features of the older ships.

The "class" is normally named after the first ship built from each basic design. The millennium was the first "M" class, and the Solstice was the first "S" class. The ships within each class are very similar in design but not exactly the same as they do make changes along the way.
