What to do in Liverpool

I know the thread is a little old, but even given my origins at the other side of the Pennines, I couldn't resits posting this: http://www.roughguides.com/best-places/2014/top-10-cities/.

 

Liverpool voted 3rd best place in the world to visit in 2014, voted number 1 in the UK.

 

p.s. Not only does it have good pubs, but they serve tasty beer with a head on it rather than that flat, lifeless stuff they dish up on the south coast.

I love Liverpool all my family where Born there apart from me. The water front used to be run down but I think it's lovely now. It has great architecture, museums, library, shops and two great football teams. The Cathedrals are a must see especially the Church of England one. Sephton park where my family lived near is beautiful with a renovated palm house. The people also have a great sense of humour.

 

However I can't compare it with Southampton as I've only been there on a coach to the port, it did look nice though on approach.
