Anyone done the inside promenade rooms on the freedom of the seas, are they ok? Worried they look at bit small for a week

They are a bit larger than a normal interior stateroom, so they should be fine for two people.

We were in one for a back-to-back in April and had plenty of space. Great rooms for usually not much more than a regular inside.

DW and I have done 2 cruises on the FOS, each time we had a Promenade. We thought that the room size was very good. We enjoyed the room very much.

The promenade room on Freedom is 17 sq ft larger than an inside room ( 169 vs 152 sq ft )

Also, the windows that look down on the promenade create the illusion of more space. My parents loved theirs.

Any issues with noise in the promenade rooms? We are looking at a couple on deck 8 and I'm concerned about noise coming up from the promenade. We have small kids (4 and 2) and sleep is essential for them!

I've stayed in PRs on 6 and 7. The only time I heard anything from the Promenade was during the parades [only twice a week, I think], and not much noise then. Deck 8 is slightly further away and should be quieter.

 

I will say that when we had a PR with a connecting door, the people next door seemed to have their TV on "loud" much of the time, and that was a lot more bothersome. But that could be true for any room, not a function of PRs.

We too have only heard noise during the parades from the PR rooms and they don't last very long.
