shmoopea Posted January 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2014 We are booked on the NCL Epic for the second week of the winter Olympics. Does anyone know if they do anything special on board for this?
sdmike Posted January 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2014 it will be shown on TV in your room and in venues around the ship. We were on the Jewel during the summer olympics and there was no shortage of coverage. However, there were no special events or decorations "celebrating" the olympics. shmoopea Posted January 5, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Thanks for the info sdmike. Love watching the Olympics! Would have been cool if they could incorporate it somehow.
sdmike Posted January 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2014 we found that because they get a satellite feed on the ships, what they show is different than normal network delayed broadcasts. They'll probably be on live at night since it's in Russia. This summer we watched a LOT of swimming Here's the Jewel atrium one afternoon when a guitarist was performing. Check the screen :)
shmoopea Posted January 5, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted January 5, 2014 That's awesome! Kind of funny seeing the musician playing at the same time... Lol
