Land and sea vs land only

Hello...we currently have a Land and Sea tour booked with Spencer Ambrose for $90.00 per person, including lunch, mud baths, Jalousie beach, and a boat ride back to the ship. The price is inclusive of fees and has other short stops planned along the way for photo ops.

I had also emailed Real St Lucia Tours, and they responded with a great offer as well. They would do a private...and I mean private...only the two of us and our guide...for $75.00 per person. This could be totally tailor made to what we would like to do. I had really wanted to add the Tet Paul hike to our tour, and this is a way to do it. The $75.00 per person is not inclusive, however. We would need to to pay $12.00 per person for the mud baths, $5.00 per person for Tet Paul, and of course pay for our own lunch...probably somewhere in Soufriere. Biggest con...land both ways...he said they no longer offer a land and sea package (or at least they aren't when we will be there).

Real St Lucia tours get top marks on Trip Advisor...a better rating than Spencer, but that may not necessarily mean that much.

So what would you do??

1) Spencer...$180.00 total including lunch and fees, and a boat ride back to ship.

or

2) Real St Lucia...$150.00 plus $34.00 in entrance fees plus $20-25 for a small, quick snack/lunch, for a total of about $205.00. No boat ride, but tour is totally private and we can do what we want.

Thoughts on these tours??

Thanks.

We used Spencer Ambrose Tours when we were in St. Lucia in August, but did the tour where you get the bus ride back. I thought the tour was great, but would go with land and sea if I could do it again. The roads are so windy and hilly that by the time we go back to the ship, I felt sick and had to lay down. I think if we had done the boat ride back I would have been fine. Didn't start feeling sick until the ride back.
