Shell Beach Beer Drinks Lunch

We will be in St. Barts in December. We are thinking of heading to Shell each as it seems to get good reviews.

It would be nice to know in advance what we might plan to spend on drinks, beer and lunch as it appears we will need to travel with euros to cover our purchases there.

We appreciate any advice and insights.

Beers were $7 USD at Do Brazil. We did not rent chairs as we didn't stay long. There isn't much to the beach, however it is worth seeing once if only for seeing the collection of shells. For a beach day, it is worth the extra effort to go to St. Jean Beach, where there is nicer sand.

Thank you for your report. Were there facilities of any kind nearby? Also, what was the walk like? We are going to Gustavia in April and we will have 2 strollers.

In terms of facilities I'm not sure what you mean. We didn't notice public washrooms, but if having lunch or drinks the restaurant has washrooms.

We walked sidewalks all the way but didn't notice if there were sloped corners for easier transition to cross the street.

Once you get to the beach you would need a very high quality all terrain strollers to push through the shells. Or stay closest to the entrance to the beach so you don't have to struggle pushing. Enjoy!
