Galveston Port and advanced purchase of Alcohol

If I purchase alcohol and have it delivered to my room will it be there when I arrive if I am leaving out of Galveston? Thought I read somewhere that due to Texas law they could not deliver until

 

a) the Ship has departed

or

b) the next day

 

Trying to confirm one way or the other....

 

I am finding out that leaving out of Galveston is a pain....and more costly.

Boo, That stinks... I was doing the Cheers program and cant get that until the next day either... Looks like first day (night) will be regular purchases... :mad:

Can you bring on a bottle of wine for the first day? Or is that not allowed in Texas?

Yes, each adult can bring 1 bottle of wine 750ml.
