Califor6 Posted February 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2014 What's the casinos like on a cruise ship? do you win? what's the minimum table bets usually run? (we love Vegas, so I'm not sure of an cruise ship casino would be like) Club02 for teens 15-17yr; is this a daytime club for the teens to hang out, or a night time dance club? food/drink in the club for the kids? hassellcastle Posted February 25, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2014 I enjoy playing in the casino too. From what I remember on our last cruise. There were $5 black jack tables. You could pay for less per hand at the video black jack tables. As far as the slots go. I've played them...and I've never won much on them on a cruise. They are pretty tight. I know this to be a fact to as I've collected and bought many slot machines over the years and those that deal in the reselling of slot machines can tell you that the slots sold from Cruise ships are programmed typically with a very low pay out percentage. This is mostly do to the fact that they do not have to conform to any payout regulations/laws as do casino's in the States.
Califor6 Posted February 25, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted February 25, 2014 thanks, hassellcastle. I had a feeling that that might be the case about the slot machines on a ship, in an confined area. $5 BJ sounds good to me...hopefully can at least win some 'drink' money for on the ship! too bad the ship casinos don't have free drinks from cocktail waitresses, as they do in Vegas....or do they?! :)
Califor6 Posted February 26, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted February 26, 2014 what are the approximate hours of the onboard casino? I'm thinking that it's not 24hours, especially when docked in a port.
UATLB Posted February 26, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 26, 2014 Tables usually are 5/6 min and for the slots I usually see a few people win a few 100.
SadieN Posted February 26, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 26, 2014 Club 02 runs all day to late night. It is closed at times. There will be a program available the first night with times and activities. Didn't check this past cruise but the usual teen shore excursion is horseback riding in Ensenada. cccer Posted February 26, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 26, 2014 what are the approximate hours of the onboard casino? I'm thinking that it's not 24hours, especially when docked in a port. Slots open around 10 and tables around 11 on sea days. Closing depends on how busy it is. I have seen it close at 1:30 and I have been there at 3 at it was still open. There are usually a couple $6 dollar tables where you can bet 6 or bet 5 plus a $1 bonus bet. They just want you to bet six. Get there early and you have a good seat for the night. Thong Posted February 26, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 26, 2014 What's the casinos like on a cruise ship? do you win? Of course you win. Everyone wins. They wouldn't have a casino if everyone didn't win.
