Montego Bay, Grand Cayman: Tenders or Docks at Pier?

I know Cozumel docks at the pier. How about these other two ports?

Never did a tender. What's it like?

Grand Cayman is a Tender port! Montego Bay is a dock!

You'll dock in Montego Bay and tender in Grand Cayman. Tendering is just boarding a small boat that will take you to shore. In Grand Cayman, it should only take 5-10 minutes once you board the boat.

If you have a Carnival excursion, you get priority boarding. You'll have to meet usually in the main theater to get tickets. About an hour after the first ones start tendering, you can normally just walk down and get right onboard.
