normally how do we pay tip on DCL? i know on Princess and NCL, they collect tips based on per person per day at the end of the trip. How does DCL handle this?

The standard tips are $12 per guest per night of cruise. If you do NOTHING, this amount will be applied to your KTTW charges. You will get tip envelopes in your cabin on the last full day along with coupons indicating that your tips were charged to your account. The coupons are perforated--1/2 goes in the envelope which you give to the appropriate crew, the other 1/2 is for you records.

You can go to Guest Services and increase or decrease the tip amounts. You can also add cash to the envelope as a way to increase tips if desired. You can go to GS and completely remove the charged tips and then place cash in the envelope.

If you pre-pay, it is exactly the same as if you did nothing (coupons) except that your account will reflect the advance payment.

The crew never knows whether you paid in advance or not...or whether you increased or decreased tips until they get the coupon vouchers on the last night.
