Dining Room Question...

Just be advised that the crew will probably try to steer you to the buffet and some might even straight out lie and say that no MDR is open. On older ships like Dawn it's usually the aft MDR that serves lunch on embarkation day and sea days. Hours are very limited though, usually only 1.5 hours or so - so if you embark later in the afternoon, you might not be able to eat lunch there after all.

Enjoy your cruise (and hopefully relaxing sit down lunch after embarkation)! :)

We're going on the Sky in November - it stops every day of the 3 days it sails. Do many people try the specialty restaurants on this 4 day cruise or just eat at the places included in the cruise fare?

Is the MDR open on embarkation day on the Sky as well or just the buffet?
