samchico Posted April 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Does anyone know if the stateroom TVs on the Volendam have an HDMI port on them? ie for watching video from a device or laptop on the bigger TV screen? TIA Samantha
smallfish Posted April 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Someone please correct me if I am wrong. I believe the TV don't have HDMI but have the AV ports ( Red,White,Yellow ).

Rare POA1 Posted April 24, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2014 While the TV does have alternative inputs usually red/white audio and yellow video, you can't always select them. These are hospitality versions of the televisions and they're designed to minimize problems - like those caused when a guest selects "Video Aux" by mistake and doesn't know how to get back to regular TV. We found this out the hard way last month. I wanted to use the TV to play music from my MP3 player. I could hook it up, but there were no buttons on the TV or the remote control to allow me to change the input source. (I looked. Trust me. Oh, how I looked.) Rare POA1 Posted April 24, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Thank you :) I won't bother packing a cable then. If you have a composite video cable, go ahead and pack it. We have had remotes that allowed us to change the input source in the past, but we didn't have that option this most recent trip.
