Caveat emptor - to those looking to book an SB on Anthem

Recommended Posts

So, I called this morning with fullest intention of booking a B2B in January or Feb on the Anthem and figured, like with the Quantum, as a solo traveler booking an SB would render the best price. Once she told me the price, I asked her to check on the difference between booking the SB and a D8. We were both surprised.

The SB on the Jan 15th 10 night E.C. sailing was $3,953.92 total without my C&A discount--single points for the sailing.

A D8 for the same sailing was $3,237. without my C&A discount.

The SB on the Jan 25th 12 ni W.C.sailing was $4,922.78 total without my C & A discount--single points for the sailing

A D8 for the same sailing was $4,394. without my C&A discount.

I booked the D8's and saved $1,245 (and will get double points since I am solo).

Total cost of the B2B for 22 nights = $6,981. (including my C&A Diamond Balcony discount)

I don't know if this is the case for every sailing, but if you are looking at an SB, you might want to compare the other balcony prices to it before booking.

The SB is double what I am paying for a similar cruise on Quantum. Yes the balconies are a better deal than an SB.
