I am interested in buying wood carvings -small or salad bowls/tongs, sugar bowls etc. We are booked on the Maya Key ship excursion. Wondering if we can purchase these types of kitchen items (either wood or pottery) in Maya Key or in the port area of Mahogany Bay? Any suggestions for where to purchase close to port area would be most appreciated! Thanks.

I'm not sure if Maya Key's small gift shop sells these. I think that at the open front building just to the north of the shopping area entrance to the taxis may have some. It's where some local vendors sell products like coffee and cigars. You may find some in one of the souvenir/clothing shops. But your best bet is on in Coxen Hole at Hailu kiliki (?) across from the Petro station and Bojangles Chicken.
