Guarantee cabin

My husband and I have booked an inside guarantee cabin on the getaway for July 12th and I noticed today that the cruise line is currently only selling guarantee cabins for all inside category cabins. What does this mean? Are the inside cabins sold out? Is there a greater chance we may be upgraded? We are happy with whatever we get but in my past experiences I have never seen this happen and I am curious. Any insight would be great. Thanks

I happen to watch this cruise and I can still see many categories available today.

 

Are you booking for 2 guest ? If so, I can still see many inside categories on sale where I can select a cabin number (not GUA). For example IC,IB,ID,IF etc. This is just from the NCL website.

 

If booking for more people in the same cabin then quite often you can only book GUA close to the saling date.

Thanks for the response. The cabin is for 2 people. When I go to book a new reservation it only gives GUA options for all inside categories... I must be doing something wrong.
