9/4 Honeymooners Posted August 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2005 My travel agent seems to think you can't. But I have seen on here that people say that they do. We are sailing Pride of ALoha for our honeymoon on 9/11 and bringing water and or some soda would be a great help as I drink about a gallon of water a day and then would not have to go to the water fountains a bilion times. Thanks!!!!!!
spleen93 Posted August 4, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2005 I have never heard of anybody getting turned away because of water in their luggage. Hard liquor, yes. Water, no. If there's any experience out there that's different, I'd love to hear about it. Spleen
wwinfl91 Posted August 4, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 4, 2005 You really don't need to bring water onboard. The ships all produce all their own drinking water and it is just as pure as anything you would buy and bring onboard. We have brought diet Pepsi on every cruise we have been on and have never had a problem. Have a great next cruise.
Umbarger Posted August 4, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2005 I didnt like the ships water as it would never get cool nevermind cold. I cruised the NCL Wind in December and brought on lots of bottled water with no problem at all. Linda
okbeader Posted August 5, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 5, 2005 I've seen lots of people bring on water and soft drinks. The bars on the ships have always given me free ice water with lemon with no problem whatsoever. Linda in OK
Happy ks Posted August 6, 2005 #6 Share Posted August 6, 2005 My drink of choice is always water, so we board with a few bottles for in-cabin use. The water in the dining room was fine, I would ask for a lemon slice to drop into the glass. We would then replace our bottled water in port, stopping at a market right before we would re-board the ship (we rent cars in port in Hawaii). We prefer to pack as light as possible, trying to haul water for the whole trip would be impossible. They do sell bottled water onboard, it tends to get a bit pricey, but is alright for the occasional time when you run out.
