Has anyone gone on a cruise to grieve?

One night during my honeymoon cruise last year, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" played in the dining room. Lucky for me, we just had a table for two that night, as I just about lost it. But, in a way, it also made me feel happy. Like my Granddad was saying "Hi," and had been with me at the wedding, after all.

 

 

My Mom loved Bob Marley... when we were meeting everyone at the bar, they play 3 Little Birds by Bob Marley. I felt like she was telling to not to worry and enjoy my trip. I cried so hard, but I had my big sunglasses on so only my husband knew that I was crying.

I think a cruise a perfect way to grieve. We lost my dad In November and he was a Navy man. We head to Alaska in Sept and I know that there will be time spent thinking of dad.
