Wedding on ship advice

We are thinking of getting married on the Allure, prior to sailing so that our adult children can join us.

Does anyone have any experience of an onboard wedding?

I need help with hair/make-up and reception questions. RCCL is slow getting me the information that I need. It's quite pricey for what they provide, and we'd like to talk to someone who had experienced this.

cruisinmom1, there is also a Honeymoon & Wedding Cruises forum on CC: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=31. One of my best friends got married during their Serenade cruise (10 years ago), at Magens Bay on St. Thomas, and everything was perfect. They booked the wedding through Royal Romance. Best wishes! :)
