Great Bay, Little Bay, or something else?

My husband, 2 daughters (age 6 and 8) will be traveling to St. Maarten in November. We were here last year and spent the day on a semi-private boat excursion with Captain Bob. We had a wonderful time last but are looking for something different and maybe sneak in a little shopping. We are looking to spend a day at the beach to have a few cocktails, lunch/snacks and maybe go paddling with the kids on kayaks or paddleboards. Which beach would be best?

Both of our kids are active and good swimmers.

Any advice is appreciated. Less than 4 months to go!!!

Aquamania now has a sports rental at Little Bay so if you taxi there first for a swim an a Kayak and then back to town for lunch and shopping you should have a very good day.:)

The other place that might be nice for you is Petite Plage in Grand Case. You can rent kayaks and the beach is very nice and you can eat at the delicious Sunset Cafe or walk the 7 minutes or so down to restaurant row and eat on the beach at Calmos Cafe which your children most likely would enjoy or pick another of the great restaurants there. The shops in Grand Case close in the afternoon so if you want to shop there then do that in the morning.
