Steakhouse on formal night

We were on the maiden voyage of the Breeze in Europe, and I forgot to pack formal pants for elegant night. We had reservations in the steakhouse on Elegant night, but we were not allowed in as I was wearing jeans which was all I had. I did explain my situation, and they moved our reservation to the next night....I can't say how they do things now, but back then, they were strict on the rules.

My 15 year old daughter was almost turned away on the Conquest/Steakhouse this past May. She wore a skort (this was embarkation day) and the hostess looked her over and asked if she was wearing shorts. My daughter explained it was a skort (skirt/shorts hybrid thing) and the hostess made us wait while she checked if it was okay. She seated us a couple minutes later.
