Not sure when the towel animal started. I had read about them here on CC, so I knew to look for them. They come out early. Not sure how long they stay out. I guess until people start taking them off???? Maybe someone else has a better answer?

I am finally able to get back on the computer and try and finish my review. I believe we are up to Friday , Finally. ( Or I should say-sadly. )

Friday is a sea day. What to do? We continue to enjoy waking up late. I know it won't last when we get home so we are taking full advantage of relaxing. We decide to go down to breakfast at the usual, buffet area. I told my family about the Arepas from the day before an they all decided to have them- in addition to some items from the buffet. The food did it's job and kept our tummies full. Mike ( 17 yr old) decided to go find his friends. Me, Dh, Nick and Emily went to the fowl folding class at 10:30. That was fun! matt led us along and showed us how to make towel animals. There is , of course, a book available for purchase that has many many towel animals to make. My daughter really wanted it so we went ahead and bought one. That led to my kids idea--on debarkation day, we would make a towel animal in each room and leave a tip for Daniel there. In our wanderings around the ship later , we went into the candy store and were able to purchase 2 small, blank cards ( like the kind you fill out at a florist) and we wrote a brief thank you to Daniel and put that with the towel animals we made for him. After the towel animals, we stayed for bingo. After that my kids wanted to look at all of the photos we had taken. I don't remember a whole lot about the afternoon. I believe we went to lie out in the sun for a while. We still had plenty of food venues we didn't try out. For lunch Dh and I ended up trying Mongolian Wok. Emily had no interest and went to get a Guys Burger. She had been craving another one all week. Nick met us at monglian wok. The wait was really bad. There were only 5 or 6 people on line ahead of us. We waited close to 30 min. My daughter got her food and finished it before we even had ours. My son was a few people behind us on line. He left the line and ended up with a Guys burger. The food was good tho. I fully expected it to all taste the same--like salty broth. It was actually quite flavorful. I had the black bean sauce and DH had Szechuan. We also located the Tandoori Grill and sampled a bit there. Very tasty!. Mike had been eyeing the sea-side bbq and finally had a chance to sample it. He said it was really good.

Nick decided to look for his friends at this point so we walked around a bit and passed by mini golf. Oh yeah! Forgot about that. Never even played it on the Allure--forgot about it there to. We decided to give it a try. It was fun, but people are just so inconsiderate. Twice we had kids run across the area as mtg daughter was getting ready to swing at the ball. Not even caring , just running across like it was nothing. One time a little girl had snack and a soda. She just sat down on the edge and placed her soda on the course and started eating. Like no one was playing golf. No parents to correct her. As we advanced thru the course we could see where people got bored. On one hole people left the clubs right in the middle of the green and the balls in the cup. Other clubs were just lying on the floor with the balls next to them. Really --it wasn't a big course. It doesn't take much effort to put your stuff away. Ok. enough of that rant.

No one wanted to see Hasbro the Game show. i thought it would be fun, but they all thought it sounded stupid. We ended up missing a lot of things. Wanted to get to trivia at some point during the week, but kept forgetting. Ice carving--totally slipped my mind.

We had planned on meeting Mike at 430 in the cabin to get packing. i remembered just as we were on our way to the hot tubs. I stayed behind and waited for Mike and too care of his stuff as well as mine.

I know DH went to the taste bar again. It was sushi. Not my thing. As soon as he came back with the other two we finished our packing. We had luggage express and were just waiting on our boarding passes and luggage tags Since our flight wasn't until 745 Saturday, they couldn't check us in until later so our tags wouldn't arrive until later that night.

Later on in the evening we finally got to the Punchliner show. We went to the family show at 745. It was cute. I saw the kids laughing tho they won't admit to it being funny. Afterwards we went to the Thrill Theater , which I detailed in an earlier post. That night it wasn't working properly and we ended up leaving just after 9 pm. At this point we were hungry so we went to Bonsai Sushi with Emily. Dh had want to go there all week. Fortunately they had more than sushi on the menu. Emily had a salad. I had the Short Ribs and a salad. Dh had some rolls.

We decided to call it an early night . We would have a long day on Saturday since the flight was so late.

Saturday is here and we wake up and get ready to leave. My plan was to have a nice breakfast and leisurely stroll out. We had a rental car waiting at Hertz and would spend some time in Miami, have a nice lunch and head to the airport in Fort Lauderdale. My family couldn't imagine having breakfast. They just wanted to leave. For no other reason than they couldn't imagine all these people debarking and we were still on the ship. It just felt wrong to them. We waited for our #7 to be called and joined the line of passengers debarking. Well, my daughter hands over her card and we get the loud buzzing sound indicating that we couldn't leave. Turns out that our luggage hadn't been cleared yet, but we were told it would be done shortly. More passengers face the buzz. One family was a bit upset because they had planned on leaving early. Not sure if it was flight they had to catch. We had time. We didn't have to be anywhere til 1130. Matt saw us all waiting and made some calls via walkie talkie. Within minutes we were all cleared to leave. Once we exited the ship we inquired where the Hertz shuttle was located. We were pointed in the right direction and made it on the one that was currently loading. A quick trip and we were at the rental counter. By this time every one was hungry and we had time. So- plans changed and breakfast it was going to be. There were plenty of places surrounding the parking garage where Hertz was located. We had a nice filling breakfast and off to our destination............

this was going to be a special treat for the boys. We were taking them to

Lock and Load Miami! I had read about it on cc and researched it on trip advisor. It was shooting range for automatic weapons. Emily was not thrilled. I let the boys each pick out a package and both of them added a pistol to their package. I bought Emily the package for 10-13 yr olds anyway. It isn't cheap ,but it was a treat for them. They all loved it--yes even Emily-- and she proved to be pretty darn good at it! It lasted just over an hour.

After the fun of shooting real guns ( we have many air soft guns here, but thats as far as it goes) we had no idea what to do. The plan for lunch was over. No one was hungry after breakfast. We decided to head to Ft Lauderdalej ust in case we hit traffic or whatever. We drove around a bit and found a place to sit and have ice cream. Afterwards we ended up walking around the mall to kill time. We finally headed to the airport for an uneventful trip home.

I have to say... we had an awesome cruise! Dh stated that cruising is such a fun way to vacation.

My boys commented that it was different than Allure. They said the people were different. Michael said he saw 2 fights. One between ( in his words) 2 older kids like 18 or so who were drunk.( I had to remind him he was only 6 mos away from 18--he then said they may have been a little older like 20). They were getting physical. In another fight, apparently there were some teen girls who were having an inappropriate conversation ( language or topic I don't know). A couple sitting next to them took offense to what was being said and asked them to please refrain from such conversation. The teen girls started fighting with the adults. Michael also commented that he thought the Allure had more "family activities" He said he felt like we did more things together than on the Breeze.

Was there a difference between RCI and Carnival. Sure there was--like any hotel or land vacation--no two are alike. Did we have fun? You bet! Did we see drunk people? We weren't looking for them. One gentleman was definitely over the top drunk. Banging into walls and having to be redirected and turned around by his daughter while trying to get to his room. That was one person. Did it ruin my vacation--not in the least. Would we cruise Carnival again yes! Would we cruse other lines? yes!
