balcony cabins on Explorer of the Seas

Hi wonder if anyone can help me? I'm not a good sailor:( but love cruising! We are thinking of going to the Fjords and know we want to be in the middle of the ship low down but can't decide on deck 6 or deck 7 for our balcony cabin. Any ideas or suggestions will be much appreciated :)

The simple answer is a lower deck cabin, midships. There could be an advantage in having a cabins-only deck below you instead of perhaps an activity deck

 

I have found the forward cabins to be the most "rocky", so if there are no midships available, I would have one as near as possible moving towards the stern.

 

If you are going to the fjords you should be in sheltered waters, except for the part between the UK and Norway

I would avoid deck 6, as the balcony wall is all steel. Deck 7 and above has balcony walls of half steel, half glass.

I would go deck. 7 as you get a better view and not much more movement

On Explorer (Adventure and Voyager too), deck 7 is a better choice for balcony than deck 6.
