Which side of ship?

My friend and I will be booking our cruise on the Norwegian Spirit soon We are going from Venice to Barcelona. We are getting a balcony room and I want to be sure we get the most views for our money :). Can anyone recommend which side of the ship we want our room on to get the best views when sailing in and out of the ports?

If you are sailing out of Venice then the port side will give you the best views as you sail away. That is late at night though.

 

I've done all the other ports on that cruise except for Toulon and Istanbul and can't think if anything on any of the other ports that makes the side important, other than maybe Capri being port side (a little whole away though) in Naples.

 

I'd go port side.

Definately book on the port side. We had a wonderful sail away on the Jade (twice - BtoB). The views are incredible! Book a port side balcony and you will be in for a treat! Have a wonderful cruise.
