Alaskanb Posted September 9, 2014 #26 Share Posted September 9, 2014 One of my favorite places in the world is the Isle of Cumbrae, south of Greenock; we have cycled around it many times in rain and sun. This looks interesting http://www.toursbylocals.com/Largs
speedyjane Posted September 11, 2014 #27 Share Posted September 11, 2014 Greenock was also a wonderful port for us. We just returned on 9/8. We took one of the free tours around the city, and then had lunch is a pub at the end of the tour. The hosts of the tour and volunteer organization members were very friendly and warm. At sail away a drum and bagpipe band of young teens entertained us at the pier. All in all it was a special visit.
HappyChappy Posted October 19, 2014 #28 Share Posted October 19, 2014 Hopefully so :D Sadly was not to be. Too many fearties. Anyway back to Greenock. Best and easiest way to see Glasgow from Greenock is a taxi for 4 passengers for a fixed price of £40 direct to George Square. You will be in George Square approx 35 mins from leaving the terminal.
