The ships are very similar, you can't go wrong with either. Rhapsody has Giovanni's Table, Splendour has the Boardwalk Dog House.

does this mean my teenagers will enjoy less?

trying to understand if this route fits for them, and if not,

which route is recommended for teens besides the route we already did on the Liberty that sailed from Barcelona?

Depends on what your teens enjoyed. Things they might miss from Liberty: Flowrider, basketball court, mini-golf, Royal Promenade.

Study the deck plans and work out what is most important. For me it is the family ocean view room which is not available on Splendor. But then I would miss the mini golf which is not on Rhapsody.

There were some teens on our 12 day Venice from Barcelona cruise on Serenade (slighter bigger/newer than vision class) who seemed to be enjoying the teen club and there is lots to do anyway but no ice skating/flow rider/promenade etc.

Maybe try Explorer or Anthem from Southampton?
