kmuntz Posted August 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2005 Does any one know which pier Princess uses. We are flying in a day early to SJ and could use some help for good hotels near whichever pier we leave from. Thanks Ken
cherylandtk Posted August 14, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2005 She uses the Pan American Pier, which is across the inlet from Old San Juan. She does NOT use the cruise docks at the bottom of the hill in OSJ. You will need a cab to get to the pier, there are no nearby hotels. All cabs in that area are set fares, not metered, so its no problem. About $5 from OSJ to pier, about $10 from Condado beach area, about $12-15 from Isla Verde/airport areas. It is easy to get to the pier, so pick your hotel based on amenities you want (near or far from OSJ, casino, beach, pool, etc.) Check the pre-post hotel thread as well as the San Juan port thread for in-depth discussion of hotels. Popular ones are Marriott, Sheraton, El Canario, El Convento.
