Vatican at Christmas

We will be in Rome from December 23-26th.

 

I looked today at the Vatican site for tickets and they are sold out on the site for December.

 

I then went on and looked at paid tours through independent companies and most are either sold out of close to for those dates.

 

So the question i should I wait and take my chances of buying tickets that day at the Vatican or book now independaly.

 

Who has used a tour company for a Vatican tour.

They aren't sold out. They just aren't available until 60 days out.
