What can be booked ahead of time on the Gem.

We have only sailed on Norwegian one time before and that was on the Breakaway. Everything from shows to dinner reservations could be made before sailing. Is this the way it is for all ships or just the newer, bigger ships.

 

I don't want to book more than I have to but I don't want to miss out either. For example, on my breakaway sailing if I had not already had reservations for Second City I probably would not have got in.

No need for any show reservations on Gem. As you know, it's much smaller than Breakaway.

I think you can now book the included restaurants on Gem, but we just wing it and have never had an issue.

Teppanyaki was the only one that was difficult to get a good time. But even there you can still get a res on board.

You actually can't make show reservations on Gem. There is no need anyway.

 

You can pre-book any restaurants you like but it's not necessary. Teppanyaki does get booked as it only has 2 tables but the others you won't have any issue at all.
