Accepted currency on Pinel Island

My husband and I are planning on goin to Pinel Island for the day on our upcoming cruise. Does anyone know if american dollars are accepted at the restaurants there? Or do they only take Euros?

We paid in dollars when we were there. Food was not cheap, but it seems like we got an umbrella and two chairs for $20. It was probably one of our favorite places from the cruise last December...calm and peaceful, absolutely no stress! Looking forward to going back soon!
