Best beach for snorkeling - St Maarten or St Thomas?

We would love to see a lot of colorful fish. We are going to both St Maarten and St Thomas. Which island would be the best and what beach?

There will be a group of us (all adults) and really want to show them a great experience. Thanks :)

St Thomas hands down, and you can choose between Coki, Sapphire, and Secret Harbor for beautiful beaches with amenities. You'll find descriptions and opinions from many folks in the Beautiful Beaches of St Thomas thread and others.
