I was on the Glory last week. So sorry my trip is over........You will have a great time. Do you have anytime dining? If so, ask for the server "Pow Pow". She was our server only once during the week, but we regretted not requesting her every night. She was efficient and friendly. (All others were not....)

Make sure to watch a movie under the stars...lots of fun. You can sign out blankets from the towel stand and popcorn is available from the Red Frog bar...once the movie has started!

The slot machines "Glitz" and "Red Riding Hood" seemed to be paying out more than the others......

Tervis tumblers are for sale at the Red Frog bar...these really help to keep your drinks cool in the hot weather. I recommend buying one as a souvenir you can actually use!

The comedy shows are lots of fun...but do early so you are sure to get a seat.

Have a great trip!

Kim

just got off the glory last week, we had a great time.

Our favorite places for lunch were guys and the blue iguana, chicken tacos were really good. I also liked the fish and chip place, which is located one level up from the main buffet, just go up the stairs near the sweet spot.

We had anytime dining and loved sitting in Apatchya's section, she was great. Everything I had from the dining room was really good. Loved that they had a different pie for dessert each night, so don't forget to ask what kind it is. We had dinner once at the buffet and it was just ok, same with breakfast at the buffet. Seemed like the buffet was kind of lacking this time, so we ended up eating breakfast and dinner in the dining room most days. Don't miss the taste bar, its on deck 5 near the casino. It's really good.

I also loved the Alchemy Bar! My favorite bar on board. All the drinks I had from there were fantastic.

The one comedy show I saw was kinda lame, the guy wasn't really funny, no one was really laughing, it was awkward lol The guy was more homophobic and racist than anything and you could feel the tension in the room. This was my only bad experience with a Carnival comedy show though, so maybe it was just an off night, who knows.

Loved the Dive-In movies, yes it was annoying that they wouldn't serve the popcorn until the show started, but didn't ruin my day lol Found out a few nights in that you can get blankets from the towel hut.

I had good luck at the casino, I won $300 on a $1 Wheel of fortune machine, my hubby also won $200 on a slot machine.

Also I highly recommend the Behind The Fun tour. You get to see the crew areas, laundry, engine control room, bridge and the galley. It was really interesting, really gives you a new appreciation for all the hard work these people do. You have to sign up at the shore excursions desk as soon as possible. They only have 16 spots available and it only happens once during the cruise. $95 per person and the tour is about 3.5hrs, you get a bag with some carnival stuff in the end, and a photo of your group with the captain and they also delivered chocolate covered strawberries to our cabin afterwards.

Overall we had a great time, one of the best cruises so far. We were the eastern itinerary and all the ports were amazing.

Hope this helps!

We were on the Glory last month (Oct. 11-18) for her Western Caribbean itinerary and will be joining you for the Eastern Caribbean cruise this Saturday. I wrote a mini-review of my experience on Glory upon my return last month. Here is a link to that thread:

We had some terrific service on our recent sailing on the Glory.

Francisco- EA Sports Bar. Francisco is one of the reasons we have sailed 3 times on the Glory in the past 5 months. He is always friendly and professional. He always welcomes us back on board with a huge smile. He is very prompt with our drink orders and goes out of his way to meet our needs and special drink requests.

Olga- Casino Beverage Server. She is always so sweet. We have cruised with her 3 times this year and she always makes us laugh and serves with a smile. She goes above and beyond to make sure our needs are met, even when it involves a special order. She is one of the best casino servers in the Carnival fleet.

Constantine- Casino Beverage Server. He is very friendly and professional. We've enjoyed his service a few times now and he always greets us with a big smile. He is also very prompt with the drink orders. Seems to be a hard worker for Carnival.

Putu- EA Sports Bar Tender- Putu is the best! We had drinks made by him and other drinks made by the bartenders in the casino bar. Putu's drinks were always perfect in comparison. He should be training the bar tenders in the casino bar how to properly make drinks.

Bunny- Casino Host. Bunny was very lively and friendly. There were some grumpy people on board for this sailing and she was always nice to them regardless of their moods.

Kyle-Casino Host. Kyle is terrific. He's professional, funny and friendly. Exactly what you need in a casino host. He ran the casino tournaments professionally and made them all more fun because he was involved.

Erika- Poolside Beverage Server. We didn't order drinks from Erika at the pool but still had the opportunity to interact with her at the Premier cocktail party. We had sailed with her before and she welcomed us back with a big smile and warm greeting. She's a great example of the warm employees Carnival needs.

My bf and I are going on a 7 day eastern Caribbean cruise on the carnival glory in a few weeks. I have been to the destinations before, however it has been years and this is my first vacation as an adult planning everything on my own. I have looked into third party shore excursions, however I prefer to stick to carnivals own shore excursions. What are your thoughts on the excursions offered for each port of call: half moon day, st Thomas and Puerto Rico.

My biggest hopes are for parasailing, snorkeling and zip lining. Can't find parasailing anywhere. Any thoughts on third party vendors for this? It's also my boyfriends first ever vacation, cruise, time out of the country and first time seeing the ocean!!! I want to make this as memorable as possible. Please, any and all advice is wanted and appreciated!!!!!

Thanks!!!!!

yep, the double chow....... especially different. I thought he talked too fast especially with elderly passengers on board. Kind of like a sonic drive in order person. But it was different and made it fun.

I just got off the Glory Nov 1st. Was fun and I loved the food better than the other 2 ships I did back to backs on the week before,,,,Conquest and Breeze. Even the buffet was good.

No tips really.

We like the early comedy shows - just cause it fills up.

Order a banana split in the dinning room if they don't have something you like. Our whole table ordered them one night. We didn't tell each other what we were ordering but all 10 of us ordered it. So funny!

Have a good time!

I noticed the penny blazing 7 row was hitting. video type machines. Most nights was up to $200 plus for the entire row. Next to the monkey machines by the ea sport bar entrance in the casino - where they do slot tourys. Behind those the orbs, dragons and wolf penny were hitting as well. The $1 wheel of fortunes were hitting as well - both ends of the bank. Right before you get to the cashier cage.
