Ilovesailing Posted November 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2014 Having done this cruise years ago I seem to remember passport/customs/security delays in Cartagena, Columbia is this still the case and can you explain the process such as was it done on or off ship. Thanks. Cartagena, Colombia
Magickpyggie Posted November 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2014 We got off the ship, straight onto the Hop on/Hop off bus, and back onto the ship at the end. Did not show passport anyway. zootnarf Posted November 15, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 15, 2014 We had the same experience on our April cruise this year. Walked right off at the port just like all the other ports. No hassle, no delay, and never showed our passports.

Econom405 Posted November 16, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 16, 2014 We just returned 2 weeks ago, on the freestyle daily they said take your passport off with you. We took ours, never left our bag. We were on ship's excursion though, not sure if that makes a difference.

Here is a link to some posts on the bus at tripadvisor http://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowUserReviews-g297476-d2615040-r226161462-City_Sightseeing_Cartagena-Cartagena_Cartagena_District_Bolivar_Department.html Make sure what your reading is current dates as sometimes they get reversed and start old to new, you can change if needed by clicking on "date" button
Ilovesailing Posted November 16, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) Here ia another link with some info however pricing is in Euro which you can convert on line to guess an idea of US/ Can prices. http://www.city-sightseeing.com/tours/colombia/cartagena.htm#tourlandingposition I think the secret is to NOT get off the bus.
