Will someone please help me decide what to do in Belize. I want to snorkel but I have a friend who doesn't snorkel and just wants to spend time on the beach. I contacted Coral Sands Beach resort but they are closed until mid October. Now what do I do? Ambergris Caye sounds great but it is so far. What is the best way to get there? What tour group should I use for any of these options? I'm so confused. I'm running out of time. WE LEAVE SATURDAY ON THE CCL GLORY!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!! Thanks.

I'd recommend a Rendesvous Caye excursion. They offer snorkling, but there is also a very nice beach. The excursion I was on offered snorkling to begin with, followed by an hour or so on the beach, but I'm sure your friend can spend the entire time on the beach. The caye is a tiny island that is virtually all beach. The catamaran should pick you up right off the ship and return you to the ship at the end.

Coral Breeze offers a snorkel tour with an observer rate---also they have a rate for just spending the day at the beach. The way it reads, the snorkle and beach tours leave at the same time and they just drop off the beach people at Caye Caulker and then head back out with the snorkelers...You can Email them to find out for sure.

We're using them in January when we go to Belize.

Here is their website:
