Booking On Board

We will be turning diamond on our cruise in January. If I wait to book my new cruise for next year, say the last day at sea, will they allow me to use the diamond balcony discount or will I have to wait until the points actually go onto my account a week or so after I get home? That means I would lose the perks for booking on board. Any suggestions?

We booked our cruises on-board before turning Diamond. When our status changed to Diamond (posted to our account), we called out TA and had the revised discount applied. It was nice getting the additional credit off the price of the cruise. It should be noted: All cruises were > than 6 months away.

One of the perks of booking on-board is the OBC.
