Room Service on Reflection

The luxury of room service is getting stuff delivered without leaving your room.

If we hung the tag for delivery between, say 7-7:30 we always got a call right at 7 to say our order was on its way.

The coffee was surprisingly good and always hot. Room service toast is always a miss and X couldn't delver it crisp either. Fresh fruit was good. Croissants were good. Omelets just okay. Breakfast meats were good.

In the future I would limit my order to coffee, fruit and croissant/pastries and skip anything that needs to be cooked and served hot.

Not being fans of cold rubbery eggs and limp toast, and realizing that the odds are against us using room service (anywhere), we usually just order coffee, juice, and maybe a muffin or croissant to be delivered via the door hangers. Then, once we're human and dressed, we meander up to the buffet or MDR for our 'real' breakfast.

The trick is figuring out what time to put. Our last few cruises have been TAs, so not many port days to consider. But losing an hour many nights throws off your sleeping schedule. We are usually early risers, but one day we were awakened by the "Captain's Noon Announcement", inexplicably delivered at 10AM. So, we have found that for a simple order like ours, a last minute order placed via the room service app on the TV worked well and was delivered pretty promptly. I don't think this would work on a regular cruise, and not on a big port day, but we've had success with it.
