Latitude members-onboard credit?

We are going on our second NCL cruise and recall reading on these boards about onboard credit as a latitude perk. Is this correct?

As far as I know the only time a lattitudes member gets on board credit is if it is one of the lattitudes cruises, or if the cruise was booked while on another cruise.

When we sailed on Orient Line 'Marco Polo' we received onboard credit and a bottle of wine because we were Latitude members. We thought we might get similar perks on subsequent NCL cruises.
