can i go to the bar with my drink pkg card and my spouses' drink pkg card and get a drink for each, or do we both need to go to the bar?

Many people report that they will allow you to get two drinks if you have two cards.

I have first hand experience of being able to bring two drink package sea passes and receive two drinks!

So the ultimate with the specialty coffees does include Starbucks?

None of the packages include the Starbucks branded venues on Oasis and Allure. However, the Replenish and Unltimate package include specialty coffee from other venues that may use Starbucks beans.

My girlfriend and I had the ultimate package on the NYE Oasis sailing, thought it was worth every single penny! It is a little intimidating upfront with the $60+ per day price tag, and came in at $442.50 per person for the 7night Oasis sailing. Considering how much we drank we well got our monies worth, plus had the peace of mind knowing our cost upfront and not having to worry about a huge bar tab/bill at the end of the cruise. I was drinking 6 to 8 bottles of water plus 2 or 3 Powerades a day to stay hydrated, so figure $30 right there in water/powerade. The coffee served in the windjammer is horrid, so we got iced lattes from cafe promenade every morning for about $5 each. I would drink about 6 beers throughout the day by the pool at about $5 each, plus 2 or 3 frozen cocktails which where about $10 each. Throw in 2 glasses of wine at $10 each a shot of baileys with desert, and a couple vodka cocktails at night for $8 a pop. There really is a value to be had with the packages as I saved a ton of money based on my vacation drinking. It is also nice to order whatever you want, whenever you want and being able to try new things and if you don't like it no money wasted!

Powerade is available on all ships? Is that in bottles? What packages is that included with?

Finally, THANK YOU! I have been trying to figure that out for months!

What a bummer to have missed all the various ways it's been said in posts for so long. If only you had asked earlier! :)

This pdf also lays it out nicely in regards to the espresso: http://media.royalcaribbean.com/content/shared_assets/pdf/menus/beverage_packages.pdf

I think it's best if we read "specialty" or "premium" coffee to mean "espresso drinks". Replenish and Ultimate include espresso drinks.

They do not include espresso drinks from the actual, branded, Starbucks on Oasis and Allure. They do include espresso drinks from the other espresso venues on Oasis and Allure, and all the espresso venues on the other ships.

The brand at those venues can change. But they are espresso.

And specialty/premium tea means Tazo brand.

There is FREE drip coffee on the promenade; on Freedom it's in the little cafe-type area and it's all self service. So asking about free coffee on the promenade, with that just being described, is a hard one to answer. There's free coffee on the promenade and there's paid-for coffee on the promenade... :p

Agreed!!!!

We enjoy a few extra cocktails while at the pool, then wine w/ dinner and maybe a few additional drinks in the casino at night......it's vacation and we've waited all year!! We figured that it would run us approx. $70/pp + tip w/out the drink package.

What are the individual prices for:

cokes

OJ

water, both still and sparkling?

Coke is about $2.50, OJ about $4. Still water in 1L bottles is also about $4. Don't know the sparkling price.

  • 2 weeks later...

We are going on the Freedom in March. The Select Package is perfect for me and I want to get it. I've sailed on Carnival and if you get a drink package, then all adults in that room HAVE to get their own separate package also. Is this the same with RCL? Thanks!

No, not everyone in the cabin has to get a drink package.

We are not sure if it is worth us buying a drinks package with beer and wine. I'm okay as I don't drink so the soft drinks package is fine for me.

What wine and beers are included in the package? We can't find the answer anywhere. Our men are English and like English beer and not american beer. My friend also likes a nice wine, so does the package just have the cheap stuff.

Any help and advice anyone can offer would be fantastic. Thanks.

You can get the "Select" package which offers beer and wine up to $8/glass for $35/day plus 15% gratuity. From the link clarea posted...
