Valor Entertainment

We will be on the Valor in April. I have been informed by a contact at Carnival that the band Blood Power will be on board at that time. I have never been on a ship with them, but from what I understand, they are very good (classic rock). On past cruises, the band would normally be in a lounge or at the Casino bar area. Hopefully, someone will chime in here before April and let us know for sure if they are on the ship.

Off the Valor just over a week. They do not have the Playlist productions - they still have the live band and the shows were Las Vegas style revues. Pretty good. There were a couple of bands rotating that played in the casino area and main lobby bar that played cover music - all were good. The best though was Ben from Nashville who played acoustic guitar at the main pool almost every day and then a couple of times in the main lobby bar. He was awesome!

Keep in mind though this is all based on the Valor and its San Juan port-intensive itinerary. Some of this could change when it goes to the Port Canaveral itinerary.

I did inquire as to our specific sailing date in April. Was told Blood Power (rock n roll) should be on the ship then and also Latin Connection (latin). I don't know if these are the bands on the ship at this time.

As of last week, yes to Bloodpower, no to Latin Connection. Looks like it was Toda La Banda.

The Valor moves to Pt. Canaveral sometimes on the last sailing from San Juan which is March 22 bet the new band comes aboard and the old one either goes home or stood in San Juan waiting for the Liberty to change her place to there. Bet the new band starts on the first sailing out of Pt. Canaveral.

Most likely not. The entire staff doesn't switch upon change of a homeport. They need the entertainment for a repositioning cruise and crew contracts are typically 6-9 months at a time, dependent upon their position and negotiations.
