getupgo Posted February 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2015 I am considering booking a porthole cabin for a cruise next year. I would like to see how well I can see through a porthole before I commit. We have an OV booked on the Sun for 2/22 and would like to take the opportunity to see a porthole cabin. Trouble is, I cannot figure out a way to determine if the Sun has a porthole cabin and, if so, where it is. Do any of you experts know? Please help if you can. It was a "free upgrade" and I was disappointed... until we actually boarded and saw it. It is HUGE, and there's a nice shelf space right below it. It was directly over the bed, so my husband and I would get on our knees and peek out of it... we could both fit our elbows and heads in it at the same time. And since we were forward and on a port-intensive cruise, it was extremely convenient for disembarking and embarking on port days. I'll see if I can find a picture... Love my butler Posted February 5, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 5, 2015 These pictures aren't accurate for Sun. I have been in a few ocean view rooms on the Sun and the windows didn't look anything like those photos on the NCL website. I am shocked NLC has inaccurate info posted....
